I'm definitely getting the flu shot next year... 60% or not, I want a fighting chance of not getting it again.

You don't pass the flu back and forth. If you have it, you defeat it and then you're immune from that particular strain.

This year's flu shot was only 60% effective anyway. Many people who had one got the flu anyway. My neighbor's family is a good example--they had flu shots but got it (bad) anyway.

You can get a reaction from a flu shot, including fever and feeling like crap. Not the flu itself, but a reaction that... sucks nonetheless.

Flu shots contain mercury. Oh, it's just a teensy weensie bit! It's OK! No, really it's OK.
